Triple H Was The Original Creator Of The Structure

WWE Universe is well aware that it was former WCW President Eric Bischoff who introduced the world to the Elimination Chamber. The former RAW General Manager brought the concept to WWE programming in 2002. He elaborated that the Chamber had various elements taken from WCW's War Games and WWE's own Royal Rumble match. Moreover, he went on to claim that the match was a cross between Hell in a Cell and a Steel Cage.

However, Triple H stated in an article at WWE.com that he was the original creator of the Elimination Chamber concept. "I'm the one who invented it. I drew a square cage and put four other squares in the corners, and I said, 'It's six guys. Two start and every few minutes, another cage opens, and one more guys enters the fight, and everyone fights until there's one guy left.' I thought it could be interesting because, if the Superstars involved have issues, then there's intrigue. In typical WWE form, it was twice as big as I envisioned it and twice as elaborate. We don't do anything small, so I should have known better. When I stood in it for the first time, I thought, 'Jeez. Please don't tell anybody this was my idea!'"

The Game's creative acumen was already making waves in his days as a full-time performer. Moreover, Eric Bischoff himself admitted on Twitter that Triple H was indeed the one to come up with the idea and not him.

Triple H not only envisioned the creation of the Elimination Chamber match but has been regarded as one of the most prolific performers in the history of the chamber match. The Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View Under Triple H's Leadership

Triple H hung up his wrestling boots last year at WrestleMania 38, due to a severe heart condition, signaling the end of the most accomplished in-ring careers in WWE. After Vince McMahon announced his retirement from the company back in July 2022, Triple H took over the reins as Head of Creative, being in charge of every major creative direction for WWE's television programming.

The year 2023 will witness the first Elimination Chamber match produced under the leadership of Triple H, with a hint of the match card already showing signs of a major blockbuster event. Right after the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event, WWE announced two Elimination Chamber matches that will see WWE United States champion Austin Theory defend his title and the RAW Women's Championship number one contendership up for grabs inside the structure.

Moreover, Sami Zayn's betrayal will see repercussions at the hands of Roman Reigns, when the former Honorary Uce will battle the Tribal Chief in the main event for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. With a stacked match card already in place, the Triple H regime will surely produce one of the most exciting and exhilarating editions of the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.
